I'd like to say that Doug was one of the best realtors I've had to deal with in many years, but I can't. I mean when we met him he was supposed to show us a house but couldn't find the key to get into the house. Hello, first clue to run. But we stayed the course and found out that Doug was one of the best we'd ever dealt with in all our years of moving about the country.
Doug is a man of many talents and the best are his personality and his ability to deal with people especially difficult ones such as myself. Doug was kind and patient with me though many times I'm sure he'd liked to have sent me packing especially after the yellow bird incident but that is something you can ask him when you pick him for your realtor.
We were recent transplants from Florida and not knowing anything about the Columbus area or the laws in Georgia Doug spent a lot of time telling us about the area we'd chosen, pointing out advantages and disadvantages to certain areas for us being a semi retired couple. We were downsizing as many couples do at our age. We sat and talked many times about what we needed and what we could afford. Then Doug would take the time to show us on the computer some of the homes he thought would be good for us and we'd go over all the positives and negatives. And once we'd narrowed the field down we'd go out to look at the homes.
I guess if I had to narrow this down to a few sentences I'd say Doug is the man to go to for when you are serious about buying a home. He has all the information on the area, is knowledgeable about all the important things we look for in a home and its surrounding area. And he has the patience of a saint and believe me that is what I'm looking for when I look for a realtor. I like a real person who is fun to be with, makes the searching interesting and can laugh at a good joke or a bad one. Someone who makes searching and buying a home a pleasant experience and someone who you would like to think you'll stay friends with for years to come. That person for us is Doug and we hope that you will choose him too.
